Dear Parents,
Spring Weather: The days are getting warmer which we are all very glad for. However, we all know that when the wind blows it can get very chilly. Will you please continue to send a jacket or coat with your child to school each day? We do go out to recess unless the weather is very bad.
Spelling: Watch for spelling words to come home today. For most of the students they are: believe, answer, because, animals, before, weight, caught, and draw.
The spelling Bee, sponsored by the PTA, will be held this Friday April 1st. Vidhi and Prinay got the highest scores on the elimination test we had last week so they will represent our class on Friday. We wish them luck.
Science: We will continue our unit on animals this week by learning about reptiles and fish. We will also continue learning about the moon with Miss Eddy.
Math: We will continue with time, shapes, review concepts learned this year, and start fractions.
We didn’t get to our shape graph last week so would you please send with your child tomorrow an item from home that is each of the following shapes: sphere, cone, cylinder, cube, rectangular prism, and pyramid. We will do a graphing activity with them.
Items From Home: Just a reminder that students should not bring toys, balls, etc. from home to school to play with. This is the school policy. Also, if your child brings pencils, sharpeners, etc. from home, would you please label them. This will help us avoid confusion as to whom they belong to. Thanks.
Birthday: We will celebrate Taylor’s birthday this Thursday March 31st.
Art’s Night: This Thursday March 31st is Arts Night sponsored by the PTA.
Science Fair: The students who participated in the science fair did a wonderful job! I am very proud of them and appreciate your encouragement and help.
Parents, thank you so much for your continued support and help. I appreciate it.
