Dear Parents,
Greetings!
Grandparents Program: We will be having a program for our Grandparents on Monday
February 13th at 1:30 in the school gym. Parents and family members are invited to attend also. If your child has grandparents that may be able to attend, will you please let them know of the date and time so they can plan their schedules?
Math: We will continue with place value, double digit addition and subtraction. If time, we will also start on Money. Watch for homework to come home on Wednesday.
Spelling: Watch for spelling words to come home today. The test will be on Thursday.
Field Trip: On Thursday morning December 15th, we will be gone on a walking field trip to SUU to attend the production of the Christmas Carol.
Please watch the weather and have your child dress appropriately as we will be walking.
Christmas Vacation: School will be dismissed at the end of the day on Friday December 17th and will resume again on Monday Jan. 2nd.
Candy: We are making a piñata to break during our Christmas party. If you are able to send a bag of wrapped candy for us to use in the piñata, we’d appreciate it. You may send the candy anytime. We will load the piñata on Wednesday December 14th so we will need the candy by Tuesday the 13th. Thanks!
Birthdays: We will celebrate Brock Anderson’s birthday on December 16th. Happy birthday!
Lost Items: Please check the lost and found at the school (by the lunchroom door) if you are missing any of your child’s clothing items – coats, jackets, gloves, etc. The pile is getting rather large.
Reading Mothers: Reading mothers will not need to come this week because we will be gone to sing-around the tree programs on Monday and Wednesday and then on Thursday we will be over to the play. I appreciate your help and look forward to having you join our class after the break.
Christmas Party: Those of you who are helping to furnish items for our Christmas party (someone will contact you if you are on that committee), may just send your item to school Friday morning with your child. I appreciate your help with this.
Best of wishes to you and your family at this time of year. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season!
Merry Christmas!
